*Residential Lending To Face Greater Challenges In 2010
Even though mortgage rates likely will remain near historic lows, prospects remain dim that residential lending will stage a big rebound in Florida and around the country this year.

That forecast, including a continuing tight market for prospective buyers of condo units, is based on information from several lenders, a prominent real estate analyst and economic reports from two major national mortgage organizations.

Banking and real estate professionals also expect that short sales by banks and sales of foreclosures will continue to dominate the South Florida housing market
